The first and most obvious observation: It’s been a whole pandemic since we posted.
THE not-so-obvious inference: Spankingly effective and seamlessly addictive platforms can make you forget older, now prosaic platforms.
We imagined the Future City
This one here reimagined Hosakerehalli Lake. It’s an unofficial garbage dump now. Which Jhatkaa, and a whole community of residents wish to change. In total, the installation covered 5 locations in Bangalore. While the imagery is only going to get better, the purpose is conveyed with these simple transformative images.
The AR/XR installation actually transported the user to a future that is yet to be built. Hundreds of people interacted with a virtual world, and hundreds loved what they saw. A first, for us, the installation spawned an event. Of course, we covered event branding.
Here’s a quick piece from the Deccan Herald.
Here’s the TOI piece on the Delhi Installation – Which was one of the first XR outdoor installations in India.
AI imagines a Future Bangalore
Of course, we are blown away by AI image generators. Experimenting with Dall-E and Midjourney opens you up to the exponential power of words strung together like poetic prompts. An image is actually worth a thousand words, and though that’s a tad bit of a hyperbole, your picture is created with words that describe it.
We prompted and this is Bangalore in 2055 according to AI
We also made a little board game for Rainmatter. Simple stuff. If played well. 🙂
